Karma: being a maniac doesn't pay anymore
In the first hour and a half of karma, someone racked up 42 sins by killing their friends in a loop. That means the rules were too soft. Fixed.
⚔️ How sins add up Kill a peaceful player: +1 sin. Self-defense and killing a red player don’t give a sin. At 3 sins you’re a murderer: red nick and a marker on everyone’s locator bar. At 10 you’re a maniac: dark red nick, and villagers won’t trade with you anymore.
📉 Every sin weakens you Starting from the third, every new sin takes away a bit of your strength: — you hit players weaker; — you take more damage from them; — you walk slower; — elytra break faster, rockets take longer to recharge.
For example, at 10 sins your damage to players is 81 %, and damage to you is 124 %. At 40 sins it’s 32 % and 309 %. Check your penalty in /karma.
⏳ How to get clean 1 sin wears off per hour of play, but only if you’re not fighting anyone. Hit a player and the decay stops for 10 minutes. Sins don’t wear off while you’re offline.
🚫 Tricks won’t work — Killing your own alts doesn’t count. — There are no more “X became a maniac” announcements.
🤝 Want to fight a friend with no consequences? Challenge them to a duel: /duel nick.
